CrewBook
Privacy notice
The standalone CrewBook edition is designed to keep the pilot’s logbook under the pilot’s control.
Data collection
The standalone CrewBook app does not require a CrewSuite account and is designed not to transmit the pilot’s logbook, OOOI images, credentials, contacts, or usage activity to Far Horizon Group.
On-device processing
OOOI image recognition and review occur on the device. A selected image is used to extract candidate fields for the pilot to review; CrewBook does not save the flight until the pilot confirms the entry.
Storage and copies the pilot chooses
Logbook records are stored in the app’s private device container. Backup and export actions are initiated by the pilot. If the pilot chooses iCloud Drive or another file provider, Apple or that provider processes the selected file under the pilot’s account and its own terms.
Photos and files
CrewBook asks the operating system for access only when the pilot chooses a photo or file workflow. Selected content is used for the requested import, review, backup, or export action.
Deletion
The pilot can delete entries in the app and can remove exported or backed-up files from the location where the pilot saved them. Deleting the app removes its private local container according to the operating system’s behavior; copies the pilot exported must be removed separately.
Support
If the pilot contacts support, the email address and information deliberately included in that message are used to respond. Pilots should use synthetic or redacted examples and should not email complete logbooks, OOOI photos, certificates, employee identifiers, or crew information unless specifically requested and necessary.
